Well as you probably guessed from the title I may be getting another Fox.  It belongs to a friend of mine from the Navy right now, but he is fed up with all the little problems and constant upkeep cost.  Honestly I don't blame him, it is a '93 and it is in terrible shape, interior is shot and the exterior is rusted.  I replaced his tail lights for him once and you wouldn't believe how bad the rust is.

Anyway, this weekend he told me he is looking for a new car to replace it and once he does he will give the Fox to me!  Now, I already have plans for it.  The first step, swap it's entire engine and fuel system into Claes.  The 93 Fox has the Difigant fuel system wich is much better then the CIS-E that Claes currently has, and his engine doesn't have any major problems with it.  The biggest problem he has with the 93 is the transmission only has 3 gears working out of the 5 it has.  No problem since I have spare trannys lying around.  Other problems he has is with the electrical system.  Anyway, he is 47 or something so he finally decided to get a grown up car.  =p

So basically I am going to recover everything that is worth salvaging from this 93 fox...  I feel bad doing it, and saying it, but the body of the car has such horrible rust it is not worth trying to restore.  Poor fox...

BUT!  Don't count it out yet.  My friend gave me this crazy idea, since they are so cheap at junkyards and tend to still run okay... he suggested rigging up a Chevy small block V8 in it!  Just shove it in with a transmission and weld in a rear end!  Call me crazy but I think it would be fun to have that much unnecessary power in such a little thing.  Plus since the body is so far gone anyway... it would make a great car to go speeding through the woods around his cabin with.  Just throw a good strong piece of square tube on the front for a bumper and we got a tree basher!

 Let me know what you think about such crazy plans. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated!!!

However I think I will tear their interiors out and start working on them.  I need a color scheme for Claes, I'm thinking black on black or charcoal on black (black with charcoal trim).  But nothing is decided yet, first thing is to get everything out.  Claes has a crappy rear deck… Rustie has a molded piece of fiberglass where Claes has a piece of carpet, so I need to go junkyard diving for that part.

Rustie is still broken and Claes is still blowing smoke and refusing to hold a charge.  I’m leaning toward a 22R for Rustie, I think I’ll just find one that has a few miles on it and build it up with my spare time (and money).  Not decided on Claes yet, the engine I was planning on is too expensive.  I’m not looking to spend 2k on an engine.  So it’s back to the idea board there.  I want Claes to have fuel injection though.  Rustie can have a carbureted engine for all I care, will just depend on price and upgrade options.

Well that is my “short” update on Project Fox (Offroad) and Project Fox (Tuner).  Any input is greatly appreciated!  Please give me some!

Just thought I would take some time out of my day to let people know what I've been thinking.

Okay, firstly.  I am sad to say but Claes' engine is not going to last much longer.  So I have two choices: Spend 1500-1700 to have it rebuilt and built up.  Or spend 2000 for a rebuilt engine with a 5 year warranty... a Supercharged Toyota 4A-GZE.  (Put in older Corolla GT-S and MR2).  It would be more work for me in the long run for the Toyota engine because I would then convert to RWD.  But I think it would be fun.

 As for Rustie.  I really want to make her a 4WD.  Two options here are: Find a quattro drive train and use that.  Or go all out and make it a true 4WD by using a Toyota 22RE and the 4WD transmission that goes with it.

I got choices.  Bleh.  I always like advice.  Please leave some!
 

Well, I just thought I would drop a small update on whats happening.   I finally named my Corolla.  Her name is Inara.  Yes, from the show Firefly.  I thought that Inara's character fit the Corolla, so now she is Inara.

And as of yet, my foxs are still broken.  It has started snowing here, so I will buy some tarps and cover them for the winter.  Have to wait for a warm day so the snow melts off of em first.

First thing to do after winter is to get Rustie running.  Claes needs some engine work but it can wait.  I hope to be able to work on Rustie during the winter, but we'll see.
 

Well... I write in bloggy again. Seems like every time I think I am going to have time to do anything with the bloggy or my dubs reality comes and kicks me in the nuts. Currently both my Foxs are offline. I broke something on Rustie while expiermenting with hydrogen... don't ask. And Claes runs but I recently put in a new radio and I must have messed something up cuz the battery won't hold a charge... should be easy to fix but I been busy working all day. The corolla is running good though... it's a 2009 so I guess it doesn't have an excuse to break yet. LoL. Oh well. I will get my foxs running. I'm hoping to have Rustie back on the road before the snow comes, she good for winter cuz she still sits high. Claes is lowered but I think I already said that... well wish me luck... please... I need it. =)

   Well it seems I got sidetracked... again.  I will seriously try this time I promise!  I will upload pictures and start to be more active in updating my progress with life and my cars.  I am also going to be attempting to start a vlog/show on YouTube.com.  I'll try to keep that up to date too.  Even though I know that like, nobody reads my blog, but I don't care!  It is fun for me and that's all that matters... to me...   Well that's not entirely true there are plenty of things that matter to me... oh whatever.  If you read awesome please leave me a comment or advice on stuff with my cars or for my show.  Peace all~

Well I think I am back finally. All moved in to new place. I would have updated sooner but get this. So I got that new Corolla XRS right? I had it two whole weeks! Then some guy rear ends me!  He is drunk!  With no proof of insurance and a suspended license in possession of marijuana... then he tried to run away! I had to chase him to get his plates. Needless to say the police arrested him. Poor XRS is in the shop now getting fixed up... I probably won't get it back before I make the first payment. LOL. Very sad. =(

Okay, Claes (the blue fox) has suddenly started working again... which makes me worry but oh well. Rustie is still being a cold hard bitch. But I'll fix her wagon. I have new pictures to upload but first have to resize them for fitting on website. And the project will soon RESUME! HAZAA!! RESURRECT PROJECT FOX!! >=D
